In the recent context of higher interest rates around the world, the discussion about the sustainability of public debt also reached the group of developed countries. The biggest economy in the world, which saw its debt double in the last ten years, has been the focus of the greater scrutiny. Furthermore, the current negotiations in Congress, for an expansion of US debt, are causing increased distrust among investors. However, ultimately, should we worry about US debt?
