The US budget is currently under discussion in the Congress. The project called One Big Beautiful Bill Act was recently approved by the House of Representatives by a narrow margin and, if it is also approved by the Senate, including an increase in the debt limit (which is not currently in the text's provision), the US debt ceiling could be postponed until after the midterm elections in 2026.
